LIVElong Special

RAYMEDphotography is all about helping the community and this time is NO different…

For the remaining of August and the whole month of September 2011, RAYMEDphotography will be donating 50% of the profits to the LIVEStrong and Joe DiMaggio Children Hospital through a great event sponsored by zMotion.org. Read more about the event here.

img_liveIconWe all know someone with or someone that had Cancer, why not give a little to help find the cure or even help these great human beings get some of the medication that they need in order to prolong their life. We all can help and why not do it while getting something in return.

I personally, lost both of my parents to this decease and wish that one day, we can actually find the cure… But I can’t do it alone, WE ALL NEED YOU!

You can schedule a portrait session, buy an Fine Art print, or purchase some addition portrait prints and 50% of the profits will go as fundraising efforts for this amazing event.

If you are interested and would like to schedule your session, use this form and enter promo code: LIVElongLiveStrong and I’ll get back with you.

To purchase any of my Fine Art prints, please visit my gallery @ http://www.raymedphotography.com/portfolio/fineart/index.htm and make your selection there.

One last option for you to be involved. If you don’t want to schedule a portrait session or don’t need to purchase a Fine Art print, feel free to go to http://livelong.kintera.org/rayray and donate as little as $5 dollars. Every little bit helps and I know I can count on my followers

Questions??? Please leave a comment or send me an email to ray[at]raymedphotography[dot]com.

Tradewinds – Tri-Athlon

Swimmers

By now, I’m sure you all know that I’m a cyclist, not a swimmer and not a runner, but this past weekend, some of my good friends and team members were participating in their first Tri-Athlon and some were participating in their 3rd, 4th, 5th… You get the idea!!!!

Since I’m not a runner or swimmer, I thought it would be cool to come to cheer for them and also photograph, so I did. I showed up at the event pretty much at the same time they were getting there, some of them knew I was going, some of them didn’t, so I think it was a good surprised for them to see me there cheering and photographing them.

I certainly enjoyed photographing this event as I could feel the adrenaline as they were about to start and transition for the next course.

Below are just some of the pictures of this event – These are NOT FineArt and maybe not be Sports Illustrated material, but this post is NOT about the actual photograph, but the actual accomplishments that my friends made. I know for one that I wouldn’t do what they did. Not because I can’t run or swim, but because I won’t just DO them.

BTW – Special congratulations to Naomi – She got 1st place in the Athena category… Why is this so special? Because it was her first time participating and she totally ROCKED it!

#1 Naomi Segall

Anyway, I hope you enjoy the photographs as much as I enjoyed taking them.

The ride date is here…

20100325_0503 As must of you know already, Saturday is the big day that I’ve been driving you all crazy about in Twitter and Facebook. It is the MS 150 Bike Tour – Breakaway to Key Largo ride. It is my 5th year riding it and I’m as excited as the first time.

We will departing from the Homestead-Miami Speedway on Saturday morning at 7am – Arriving at the John Pennekamp and back on Sunday to the Homestead-Miami Speedway, where family and friends awaits the entrance of their love ones.

I’ll be of course updating my Twitter and Facebook through Posterous before/during/after the ride to keep whomever is interested informed. I wish I could bring you guys along with me this year, but I hope some of you get inspired to do this ride with me next year.

The next two images are for the actual route of the ride. Please feel free to click on them to download the actual PDF file. When updating my Posterous, I’ll be mentioning where in the map we are so you can follow along and cheer (yeah right!)

Hey! Just because the ride date is here and I reached my fundraising goals, doesn’t mean that you can’t still make a small or large donation. If you do feel incline to do so, just go here

Last day of Soccer

A few days ago, I was asked by the soccer parents to photograph our last soccer game of the season. I was going to photograph my daughter anyway, but when some of the parent heard that I was a photographer, they all wanted me to photograph their kid, so I decided to upload the pictures to my gallery and let the parents purchase prints.

Photographing soccer is a whole lot of fun, specially when the players are 3-5 years old. It is NOT really a soccer game, but more like a Circus. You get to see all kinds of things & funny faces.
