As must of you know already, Saturday is the big day that I’ve been driving you all crazy about in Twitter and Facebook. It is the MS 150 Bike Tour – Breakaway to Key Largo ride. It is my 5th year riding it and I’m as excited as the first time.
We will departing from the Homestead-Miami Speedway on Saturday morning at 7am – Arriving at the John Pennekamp and back on Sunday to the Homestead-Miami Speedway, where family and friends awaits the entrance of their love ones.
I’ll be of course updating my Twitter and Facebook through Posterous before/during/after the ride to keep whomever is interested informed. I wish I could bring you guys along with me this year, but I hope some of you get inspired to do this ride with me next year.
The next two images are for the actual route of the ride. Please feel free to click on them to download the actual PDF file. When updating my Posterous, I’ll be mentioning where in the map we are so you can follow along and cheer (yeah right!)
Hey! Just because the ride date is here and I reached my fundraising goals, doesn’t mean that you can’t still make a small or large donation. If you do feel incline to do so, just go here

I do believe that everyone knows I’m an avid cyclist and that every year, I ride to find a cure for MS.
If you don’t know what the MS Bike Tour is, check this out.
-
3,500 cyclists, volunteers, sponsors, friends and family working and riding together against MS for Florida’s largest cycling event of the year!
-
The 2 Day event kicks off on day one from the Homestead-Miami Speedway with a victory lap, Nascar style, stops overnight at the 42 Below Village at John Pennekamp State Park in Key Largo, then heads back to Miami on day two. Ride 50, 75, 110 or the full 150 miles
-
Includes 5 meals throughout the weekend and plenty of refreshments and snacks
-
Rest Stops every 4 – 10 miles with food, drinks, first aid, bike repair, rest rooms and fun themes!
-
Camp for free (just bring your own gear) or make your own accommodations at a local area hotel (visit our Accommodations page for hotel info)
-
Hotel shuttles are provided for riders not camping
-
Free luggage transportation from the Homestead-Miami Speedway to the 42 Below Village at John Pennekamp Park in Key Largo and back
-
Support and Gear (SAG) vehicles and motorcycles available along the route for support
-
Emergency Medical Service vehicles also available at all times
This coming year is no exception to that, but I will be doing something totally different. Instead of asking people to give a donation, I will be doing the following:
I have selected 3 of favorite images to be sold as limited edition prints. All the profit after costs of goods will be donated to the MS South Florida Chapter and go towards my goal of $3,000. To purchase, please email me which print and what print type you would like to purchase and I’ll send you an PayPal invoice. Blog will be updated with remaining print count.
I’ve realized that not everybody can purchase on of these prints/canvas and for that reason, I’m including the following URL so you can donate whatever you can for this cause. (My Personal Page)
Each Print or Canvas will be personally signed and hand numbered and will only be sold up to the limited number. The prints sold will not have my logo on them as I only use logo images for online posting.

Between the Pack
20×30 Gallery Wrap Canvas (Limited Edition of 4) $350/each
16×24 Mounted Print (Limited Edition of 5) $125/each

Rest

As you most of you know, I’m an avid cyclist and besides riding for fun and exercise, I have made a goal for every year and that is to help an organization to raise money for a great cause, that organization is the Multiple Sclerosis Society, South Florida Chapter. The ride is called “MS Bike Tour”, I have been doing this riding event for the past 3 years. The Tour is from Miami to Key Largo (150 miles round trip), it is two days and it is a whole lots of fun.
This year, there another charity event that I’ve always wanted to participate and because it was always far from Miami, I was not able to. In 2009, for the first time “Tour de Cure” is in South Florida, and I just got my registration in. This ride is 100 miles (1 day) in beautiful South Florida.
If you have a friend or family member suffering from either one of these two devastating diseases and would like to make a contribution, please click your logo of choice. Now, you don’t have to stop there, come join me ride the MS Bike Tour this year under the Title sponsor Zimmerman and our team ZMotion. If you would like to know more about our team, click the ZMotion Logo below.
Thank you for your participation!!
