eSession: Emily & John

This past Sunday (11/14/2010), I had the pleasure of photographing Emily and John. They are a HOOT! Enjoyed spending time with them and I’m honored that I was chosen be their photographer.

Emily and John have been dating for about 2 years now, but they actually go way back… How back? Way back since childhood!

They actually grew up together. John was best friends with Emily’s brother. John’s family moved away and they lost touch for about 9 years. They re-united here in South Florida. It was a pleasure to be part of this special shoot.

Strangers

I took sometime to look through some old images in my archive as I had time in the plane to browse.

I came across the following photograph, it was taken back in 2008 while I was Pensacola, Florida.

That night, I was on the Pensacola Pier photographing the surroundings and the beautiful orange sunset.

Rachel and Billy were taking the typical “we were here” photograph. You know which one… Where you stand someplace and you extend your arms to take the picture. I took this picture, just a few seconds before I offered to take a picture with their camera. They actually smiled to the fact that I have taken a picture of them trying to take their own picture.

Rachel, Billy, Pensacola Pier, BeachI wish I could have gotten their address or at least their email address as I could’ve emailed them a copy of this image, but I just didn’t have the courage to ask for their email address

If you do know these two, it will be my pleasure to send them a copy of this image or even an actual print.

Some of the photographs from that same day.

Sitting in Heaven

I present to you, my 5 year old daughter, Carolina. She was just seating there taking it ALL in.

When I saw her sitting there, I just had to take this photograph, but then I had to actually sit next to her and do the same. Take it ALL in!!!

My Daughters’ Birthday!!!

My daughter turned 12 and all she wanted was a HUGE dance party. Well, instead she got 3 days with her two closest friends in Marco Island. That’s right! We took all three girls (and little sister too!) for a 3 day Beach getaway in Marco Island.

As with every birthday party that you go to, they always give you a “goody bag”, right? well, we didn’t do that, instead, I took the girls for a photo session down to the beach and we are framing this picture for the girls (8×10 matted), so they will actually get to keep their “goody bag” instead of eating it :)

If you would like to wish her a belated birthday, please comment below!

Thanks,

West Coast

PierPanorama

I had the opportunity to travel to the West Coast for my day job and I took some time to drive to Malibu Beach, because I heard so many wonderful things. I spent about 3 hours in Malibu and I can say that was blown away about the beautiful sky, although Walter didn’t think it was clear enough. For my first time here, I thought it was just gorgeous.

“Malibu is an incorporated city in western Los Angeles County, California, United States. As of the 2000 census, the city population is 12,575.

The city of Malibu is a 21-mile (34 km)[5] (33.5 km) strip of Pacific coastline; a beachfront community famous for its warm, sandy beaches, and for being the home of countless movie stars and others associated with the Southern California entertainment industries. Most Malibu residents live within a few hundred yards of Pacific Coast Highway (State Route 1), which traverses the city, with some residents living up to a mile away from the beach up narrow canyons; the city is also bounded (more or less) by Topanga Canyon to the east, the Santa Monica Mountains to the north, the Pacific Ocean to the south, and Ventura County to the west. Its beaches include Surfrider Beach, Zuma Beach, Malibu State Beach and Topanga State Beach; its local parks include Malibu Bluffs Park[6] (formerly Malibu Bluffs State Park) and the planned Legacy Park,[7] with neighboring parks Malibu Creek State Park, Leo Carillo State Beach and Park,[8] Point Mugu State Park,[9] and the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area, and neighboring state beach Robert H. Meyer Memorial State Beach,[10] that was once part of Old Malibu (before Malibu became a city), and better known as pristine beaches, El Pescador, La Piedra and El Matador.”

Anyway, these are just a few of the shots from Monday 3/9/09. You can see my uploads in Facebook and/or Flickr.

I hope you enjoy it!

Happy Birthday Elizabeth!!!

The following images are from last week, but I couldn’t post them because we were planning a surprise for Elizabeth. See, Elizabeth and her family moved to Oklahoma a few months ago, they came down to visit the family.

We got together at their beach condo in Hollywood, FL for an awesome afternoon filled with laughter, family, friends, and fun… oh, wait!!! and kids too!!!

We decided to hold on to the images and present Elizabeth with a surprise, Maria (my wife) created a scrapbook for her 4th Birthday. Which they received already.

Here are some of the pictures that we took that afternoon.

~ Enjoy!
