Looking out my hotel window, there is evidently some construction going on, but I honestly wouldn’t know what they are trying to make. It looks like they want to make a bridge of some sort, but this lonesome beam is all by himself far from the rest of the beams. I thought it would make a good photograph by itself.

The following image was taken around 3pm, a huge storm was approaching us and in between all the darkness, the sun kept of popping out almost like playing Peek-A-Boo!

As most of you know, I’m also a cyclist and 90% of my rides are all in the morning… 6am to be exact!
In the summer, it is extremely dark when I wake up and start pedaling, but on my way back home, it is amazing what you can see. The colors, the people, the smells (good and bad), but especially the sunrise… It is so peaceful to stop the bike and to take it all in.
I have to stop more and photograph these beautiful sunrises, because there are a lot of people that never get to experience this. If I’m blessed enough to be able to see this, why not stop for 5 minutes and take some good photographs.
Canon PowerShot D10 | ISO 80 | F/2.8 | 1/6 sec | 6.2mm
Most of you know that is NOT the camera that makes the photograph and that you don’t don’t TAKE a photograph, but you MAKE a photograph. That’s why I always carry my Canon PowerShot D10 for every bike ride. You never know what you view you are going to be presented with.
~ Enjoy!

This past weekend my daughter (Daniella, 13 y/o) wanted to re-decorate her room and because she is an excellent girl (I’m not just saying this because she is my daughter) and she has the most amazing grades, we decided to take her to IKEA on Saturday and pick things that she wanted for her room.
The paint and the original furniture stayed (our rules
)… But she was able to pick everything else…
One of the things that she kept on looking at was some of the art that were displayed in the showroom, maybe not because of the art itself, but because the size that they were printed on… 20×30 and bigger… All canvases, all beautiful.
But there was a piece that she really liked and it was a NYC cityscape, so she turned to me and said… “Dad, can I look through your NYC photographs and can we print it BIIIIGGGGGGGGGGGG”… As a father and photographer, I couldn’t be any more happier about that. My own child wanting me to print one of my photographs BIG… Awesome!!!
So, after spending a while looking through the photographs, she finally decided on this one… She didn’t want any borders on the photograph, she wanted the whole 20×30 filled with the photograph. The image was sent to be printed on 20×30 Metallic Print from @AdoramaPix.
I can’t wait to receive this print… I’ll update the blog post with an mobile image of the final wall when is mounted.
UPDATE: mobile image
Hope you guys liked it!
