Magic of B&W II
I received an email from Craft&Vision with the announcement of their revised copy of Magic of B&W by David DuChemin. I immediately got excited about reading it as I purchased the 1st book and I was totally inspired by it.
Between a podcast episode by another photographer and this eBook, I am totally inspired to make some photographs today.
Now, onto the eBook. This publication shows the love and passion that David DuChemin has for photography and Black & Whites.
I totally agree with David when he says that there are million ways to convert your photographs into Black & Whites, but his methods are so straight forward that why try any different way. I will be trying his conversion methods in my workflow and see how they apply to me. I like David, don’t really use any store bought Photoshop Actions as I tend to believe it makes your photographs look like somebody else’s.
In this eBook, David talks about the Craft of Black and White as well as the following topics:
-
Advantages of Digital
-
His Philosophy
-
the Creative Vision
-
Interpreting the Image
-
B&W Conversions
-
Photoshop CS B&W Techniques
-
Toning
-
and give some same great sample images and description on how he accomplished the end result.
If you haven’t purchased any of his eBooks, maybe you should start now. See some of the sample pages included in this book
